That's a great view up to Roche Miette from here. We'll talk a little more about that later. On this next bend we will find a pullout with parking for Punchbowl Falls Note: The tour is over 75+ miles long, with more than 50+ audio stories, and takes about 2 - 3 hours per tour to complete.

There's a pullout on the left side of the road up ahead. Watch for oncoming vehicles and let's turn in for a quick look at the view. What we see here is a fantastic section of Ashlar Ridge.

The view to our right is somewhat obscured by trees but the land around the Little Snake River and Athabasca forms a delta. Somewhere in the woods near the delta is the remains of the original fur trading fort that gave Jasper its name.

In just a few minutes we'll be on the final approach for the town of Jasper. It's one of only two incorporated towns inside our Canadian national parks, the other is Banff.

The first of the 2 lakes on this drive is Patricia Lake. It's a scenic location with lots of shore access. On a calm day it takes fantastic photos, but it's worth at least a quick look anytime.
