  James town also called British Accra, is one of oldest town in Accra. The light house is situated in this time and this was used by the British during the slave trade era.

  Independence Square

  The independence is square is one the largest squares in the world.it was designed to for state events,military parades and also for commercial events. The square was commissioned to honour the visit of Queen Elizabeth the II. The roundabout before the square contains the black star gate also called the black star monument was designed in 1961.

  W.E.B. DuBois Center

  The center is named after William Burghardt Dubois who was an African American civil rights activist. He then became a citizen of Ghana in 1960. He is often known as the father of pan-Africanism. The center was where he lived during his stay in Ghana with his wife and where they are now buried. The center contains his personal library, his belonging, a seminar room a gallery and his tumb.
