Tsavo East National Park is filled with big game – elephant, cheetah, buffalo, and leopard. In just a little over two hours from the coast, you could be in lion country, journeying overland in a 4 x 4 Jeep, scouting for wildlife and picking up safari stories.

Tsavo is legendary for its fierce lions and great herds of elephants. We’ll visit the watering holes of Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock, a natural draw for the wildlife in this thirsty park. And the park might also surprise you with its population of hippo, crocodile, and waterbuck.

This short but busy tour can work as a spur of the moment booking. So, come on safari with us and tell us any special wishes you might have – we’ll make them happen.

All-Inclusive. Your 1-day trip to Tsavo East safari includes park entrance fees, game drives, and meals.

    Tsavo National Park East

We’ll be up early for a busy safari day, traveling along the Malindi-Sala Gate Road on a picturesque drive while enjoying the sunrise on the way. The big sky and rugged terrain of Tsavo East will greet us as we rumble into the park, on our first game drive. The lightly foliated plains will make the animals easier to spot, plus your driver/guide has a keen eye and a strong sense of where to track the animals. We’ll look for the resident elephants who like to roll in the park’s red-oxide soil giving themselves a fine coating of the rust-like colour. We may also find them at the park’s distinctive watering holes, along with zebra, antelope and other game looking to sustain themselves. We’ll break for lunch at one of the safari lodges or tented camps within the park. This will give you a good idea of the accommodations should you decide to return for a longer safari. Then we’re off on another short drive tracking more big game but also smaller animals like eland, gerenuk, and impala.
