Many travelers and residents of Los Angeles have never experienced what we at Twenty Nine Oaks Ranch consider 'the real LA.' On this trail ride you'll see a side of Los Angeles that will surprise and refresh you. Far from the crowds, the traffic and smog, we breathe clean and enjoy the bounty of nature that sits right here at the gate of our front pasture! Our horses are safe and fun to ride and we can accommodate all levels, from beginner to expert. Our experienced trail guides will take you through the recent burn area where you'll see residue of the 2018 Woolsey fire. Depending on your ability level, you may visit Suplhur Springs or view the remnants of the cattle grazing operation that the Morrison Family developed earlier during the last century. There's plenty of history, nature and wildlife to keep you interested and excited! Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to get on and off the horse with ease. No Gucci or Prada, please! No flip flops, sandals or high heels.

Horses, tack and helmets. Parking is free and on site across from our hay barn.

Park on the right across from our hay shed. No street parking. Bathrooms are limited. This is a residential neighborhood so respect our neighbors. By booking you take responsibility for any damages/injuries & hold harmless 29OR, its agents & staff. Riding is dangerous and you could get hurt.

What to expect

When you arrive you'll help get your horse ready and tacked up, and then get a short lesson in our arena. After mounting you'll cross the road to the park entrance where you'll start the ride through the canyon. Wide grassy vistas, wildflower meadows, shady arroyos and beautiful oak forests are just a few of the sights you'll see as you ride through this natural paradise. Please wear comfortable clothing so you can get on and off the horse with ease. Your guide will stop for a selfie at a great spot, but please put your phone away during the ride. Arrive on time since this is a scheduled event and will not be extended due to lateness.
