The view of the Casbah of Agadir – and the inscription “God, the Fatherland, the King” on the mountain – is also one of the highlights of the cornice.

  The Casbah – also known as Agadir Oufella – is a majestic site with a fascinating history. Built in 1572 by the Moroccan king Moulay Abdallah el-Ghalib, this fortified city was intended to protect the inhabitants against possible Portuguese invasions. he kasbah of Agadir offers a unique panoramic view of the bay, the city and the hinterland.   The mosque in the Talborjt district, the largest in the city, is located at the intersection of February 29 Street and General Kettani Avenue. It bears the name of the grandfather of the current King Mohamed VI. The carved wooden doors, the work of the mosaics and its majestic size make it one of the most beautiful mosques in the region.   Souk El Had is one of the largest retail markets in Morocco. Located in the center of the city, it is also one of the liveliest places in Agadir.
