Masmak Fortress is a clay and mudbrick fort in ad-Dirah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Built in 1865 for prince 'Abdurrahman ibn Sulaiman AlDabaan under the Emirate of Jabal Shammar,The fortress played an integral role in the Unification of Saudi Arabia, with the Battle of Riyadh, one of the most important conflicts of the Saudi unification, taking place in the fort. Since 1995, the fortress has been converted into a museum showcasing one of the most important landmarks of Saudi heritage

Located in the capital city of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, the King Abdul Aziz historical center was built on the former compound of the Murabba Palace and is around 1.5 km to the north of the old city. In 1999 several cultural institutions focusing on Saudi history were built on the old palace compound and the remains of the old palaces were remodelled and restored to make it look as close to the original building as possible.

The construction of the tower was completed in 2002, and since then, it has become one of the tallest buildings in Saudi Arabia, with 99 stories. The tower consists of malls, hotels, offices, and luxury apartments. Its height of 992 ft and its unique inverted parabolic arch help it stand out against a sea of skyscrapers and tall buildings.

The museum presents the history of the Royal Saudi Air Force from its establishment in the 1920s to the present day. The museum comprises an outdoor static park and a large and modern indoor museum.
