Climbing Huayna Potosí (6,088 m)
Huayna Potosí, Bolivia’s most popular major peak in the Cordillera Real, stands just 25 km from La Paz. Renowned for its accessibility, stunning beauty, and its proud status as a 6,088-meter summit, it’s a must-visit for adventurers. While it’s climbable for beginners, it’s essential to be fit and determined—the final stretch is steep and challenging, but the reward at the top makes every step worth it.
Our 3-day itinerary includes an afternoon of basic mountaineering training and an acclimatization night at the 4,700-meter base camp. These elements significantly boost your chances of successfully summiting Huayna Potosí.
This climb is ideal for those wanting to conquer a 6,000-meter peak without needing advanced mountaineering skills.
