Discover from the sea the coastline of the Natural Park of Montgrí, full of imposing cliffs and beautiful hidden coves that enter a seabed of undoubted ecological value. We will sail around the Medes Islands marine reserve, and the entire coastline of the Natural Park to the Foradada.
Throughout the town, there is a blue parking area, for a fee from 1 June to 30 September. We also have a free sandy parking on the beach, right at the arrival of the promenade, at the entrance of the village.
The Medas Islands (Catalan: Illes Medes) are an archipelago located in the Mediterranean Sea consisting of about seven small islands and some islets off the northeast coast of Spain. It has an area of approximately 21.5 ha. It has a seabed, favored by its proximity to the mouth of the Ter River, which attracts numerous researchers who study it every year making this maritime reserve one of the most important in the Mediterranean and the largest in extension of Catalonia. The island with the longest group is the Meda Grande. They are declared as ZEPIM. Some names of the islands of this archipelago are the Medallot, the Small Meda, the Ferrenelles, the large Tascó, the small Tascó and the Carall Bernardo.
