Located in Recess, Connemara, the Connemara Giant is a fun and unusual roadside attraction that has been intriguing visitors for decades. This statue was commissioned by Joyce’s Craft Shop, a well-known local gift store, and has since become a beloved stop for tourists travelling through Connemara’s stunning landscapes.
According to the tongue-in-cheek sign beside the statue, rubbing the giant’s hand is said to bring good luck—especially in matters of wisdom and knowledge.

Known for its serene beauty and stunning reflections, it has become a must-visit destination for travellers exploring Ireland’s west coast.
9️⃣ The Quiet Man Bridge – Visit the famous bridge from the classic 1952 film The Quiet Man, starring John Wayne.
Return to Galway – Relax as we make our way back, concluding a scenic and unforgettable journey.
