    Lake Atitlan

Planting Area: When we get to the plantation area, you will see the incredible plant located on the shores around the entire Lake Atitlan. We talk about the Tul plant. This is of great importance for the community since it helps to fight the bacteria that attack the lake, it also works as a natural filter and helps to purify the water, in addition to being the habitat of different marine animals and birds. We cannot ignore the importance of this plant for the indigenous community since with it they make different crafts such as rugs, baskets, among others. The handicrafts help people in the community with economic income and tourists who buy souvenirs to make memories of their visit to Guatemala.
