Cerro Negro is Nicaragua's youngest and one of the world's most active volcanoes. This 650-meter-high natural wonder is a unique mix of stark black volcanic rocks on one side and endless black sand on the other, setting the stage for an adrenaline-pumping adventure – sandboarding!

Despite its relatively low elevation, the hike to the summit is a rewarding challenge, taking about an hour. The panoramic views from the top offer a spectacular 360-degree look at the surrounding volcanic landscape.
