Ireland is a country of storytellers, it is a long tradition that goes back centuries. There are many different genres of storytelling and on this tour we will dive into aspects of the 4 cycles of Irish mythology, we will explain the fairies and why you never disturb them and finish with some more contemporary stories of the characters of Dublin city.
This tour takes place in the pub, 3 of them to be exact. At each stop you will enjoy a glass of local beer or cider and some traditional pub snacks while your guide regales you with they tales that makes Ireland so famous for the gift of the gab!

Unit 2b is on the lower ground floor of Powerscourt Towncenter. Come up the Georgian Steps on South William St, pass through the flower shop, walk by the oak staircase and down the next set of step and we are to your left.

End point

The Tour always ends close to the meeting point, your guide will give directions to your onward journey.

    Powerscourt Townhouse Centre

    You will start your tour at the beautiful Powerscourt Towncenter which is a 250 year old Georgian Mansion. You will be transported back to Georgian Dublin and hear the story of the family who built the house and what they got up to in this period notorious for risque behavior.

    The remainder of your time on the Story Telling Trail will be visiting 3 iconic Dublin Pubs where you will enjoy a local beverage and pub snacks while listening to stories from Irish mythology, the characters of Dublin and of course the faeries.
