If you happen to be in Beijing between January to early March of the year, you certainly don't want to miss this wonderful seasonal activity! This exciting evening tour will take you to Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Festival event in Yanqing county where is one of the 2022 Winter Olympic games competition zones (there are 3 competition zones in Beijing). This makes Beijing the first city to host both Summer (2008) and Winter Olympic Games. To keep you warm, you will also experience the most traditional Mongolian hot pot dinner in Beijing!

Your private guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby at around 4:30pm. Then, you will go to a Chinese Transitional Mongolian hot pot restaurant for dinner. You will find a interesting coal-heated steamboat in the middle of table where you can cook your favorite food there. The hot pot ingredients can be various, and your guide will assist you to choose sliced meat, fresh vegetable, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, tofu, and seafood. Once they are cooked, you can dip them in some special sauce if you like. Mongolian hot pot is very popular to the locals during the winter season.

After your dinner, you will head to the Longqing Gorge at Yanqing county of Beijing to experience the Ice Lantern Festival.

During the ice lantern festival of each year, ice-and-snow sculptures and ice slides are displayed along 300 meters of the gorge. In the evening,the colorful lights are turned on, which makes the ice sculptures look beautiful and interesting. You will enjoy the ice carving and various lantern for about 2 hours. After this fantastic evening tour, you will be transferred back to your Beijing downtown hotel.
