This is Buenos Aires' most adventurous day out — and it takes you well beyond the city limits. You'll combine two of the best ways to explore Argentina: cycling through elegant northern suburbs and kayaking deep into the Paraná Delta, one of the world's only river deltas without tides. The day ends with a traditional Argentine asado on a hidden island, surrounded by nature.
We start at Casa Castagnino in San Telmo and ride north through the city. Along the way, you choose: pedal the full distance or load the bikes onto a scenic train for part of the journey. Either way, you'll arrive at the Delta feeling like you've left the city far behind.
This is a private tour, fully adapted to your group. Your guide speaks English or Spanish, and Portuguese subject to availability. For those who'd like to pedal a little less and soak in a little more, eBikes are available at an extra charge — subject to availability, please request at time of booking.
Biking Buenos Aires in "Casa Castagnino"
We´ll meet at one of BA´s oldest buildings - Casa de Castagnino on Balcarce 1016, San Telmo. After a short tour of the house, we´ll get down to business and decide.... are we going to pedal all the way out to Tigre, or take the train for some of the way?
After crossing the city center, we´ll reach Retiro - the city´s main transportation hub. We´ll take the train to San Isidro, unless you´re feeling keen to pedal all the way out there! (aprox 15km)
We´ll discover the old aristocratic neighborhoods of Buenos Aires, and visit the San Isidro Cathedral, were we usually have a Mate stop
Once at Tigre, we´ll hop on our kayaks and row through narrow canals were the hussle of the city disappears. Our destination is a restaurant on an island where we´ll enjoy a local ASADO!
