I’ll pick you up in Munich, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, or Füssen in a comfy vehicle with drinks. First stop: Neuschwanstein Castle. Enjoy a guided tour inside, explore the fairy-tale grounds, and snap stunning photos from Marienbrücke. A hearty Bavarian lunch awaits nearby.
Next, explore Oberammergau, famed for its Passion Play and Lüftlmalerei (painted houses). If you like, ride the thrilling Alpine Coaster—fun for all ages!
We then head to Linderhof Palace—Ludwig’s Rococo gem inspired by Versailles. Tour the opulent interiors, stroll the formal gardens, and admire the exotic Moorish Kiosk.
Our final stop is Ettal Abbey, a stunning Baroque monastery nestled in the Alps, still home to Benedictine monks.

Your full-day adventure begins in the morning with a pick-up from your Munich accommodation. Step into a comfortable, air-conditioned private vehicle, stocked with cool drinks and light snacks, and get ready for a scenic journey through the heart of Bavaria. As we leave Munich behind, the rolling hills, charming villages, and lush countryside of Bavaria unfold before you. Along the way, we’ll pass picturesque landscapes and enjoy breathtaking viewpoints that showcase the region’s natural beauty. Soon, we arrive at the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle, perched like a fairytale palace among the Bavarian Alps. Surrounded by towering peaks, forests, and sparkling lakes, this legendary castle offers a truly magical experience. Explore its stunning architecture, take in the panoramic views, and immerse yourself in the storybook charm that inspired kings, artists, and dreamers for generations.

2Neuschwanstein Castle
As soon as we have arrived at the fairy tale Neuschwanstein Castle, you will explore the palace on a small-group guided tour. Following up we will have plenty of great photo opportunities, be it the castle itself, the old Marienbrücke, or the spectacular surrounding mountain area.

4Oberammergau
Next, we head to the charming village of Oberammergau, world-famous as the birthplace of the original Passion Play, first performed in 1634. This picture-perfect Bavarian town is also known for its elaborate woodcarvings, colorfully painted houses, and rich artistic heritage. You'll have time to stroll through the quaint streets, soak in the atmosphere, and maybe pick up a few unique souvenirs.

5Alpine Coaster Oberammergau
Optional Adventure Upgrade: If you're craving a little more thrill, skip the village and join me for a ride on a once-in-a-lifetime Alpine Coaster! Imagine a mountain rollercoaster—but you’re in control, with hand brakes to slow down whenever you like. Speeds top out at a fun and safe 25 mph. To reach the coaster, we’ll glide up the mountain on a scenic 20-minute chairlift ride, offering breathtaking views of the valley below. At the top, the panoramic photo ops of the surrounding Alps are worth the trip alone!

7Ettal Abbey
Our journey continues to the stunning Ettal Abbey, nestled in the peaceful village of Ettal, surrounded by the rolling foothills of the Bavarian Alps. This magnificent Baroque masterpiece, founded in 1330 by Holy Roman Emperor Ludwig the Bavarian, was originally built for a group of knights and a community of Benedictine monks. To this day, the monastery remains active—you'll get a glimpse into the daily life of the monks, whose traditions have continued here for nearly 700 years. After this memorable visit, we’ll make our way back to your hotel, full of unforgettable impressions from the day.
