This 4-day Group Camping Safari offers an unforgettable journey through three of Tanzania’s most iconic destinations. Begin in Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and majestic baobab trees. Continue to the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, famous for big cats and the Great Migration, where you will enjoy an incredible hot air balloon safari at sunrise, floating above the wildlife and landscapes for a truly magical experience. The adventure concludes at the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” offering some of the best wildlife viewing in Africa. This safari blends breathtaking scenery, rich wildlife encounters, and memorable camping nights in Mto wa Mbu/Karatu, Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro area for a complete African adventure.

1Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. After a full day of game drives, continue to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

2Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, journey through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive across the endless plains of the Serengeti. Dinner and overnight stay inside the park.

3Serengeti National Park
Begin your day with an unforgettable hot air balloon experience over the Serengeti, floating silently above the endless plains as the sun rises and wildlife roams freely below. After landing, enjoy a special bush-style breakfast in the heart of the savannah before returning to your camp or lodge. Later in the morning, depart Serengeti with a scenic game drive en route toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

4Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Upon arrival in Ngorongoro, you have a great time keep your eyes all the way down to the crater from the rim, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater below. The afternoon is spent relaxing at your campsite within the conservation area, allowing time to enjoy the cool highland atmosphere and prepare for the exciting crater exploration the following day.

5Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Africa’s best places to see wildlife. Here, you may encounter the Big Five along with zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and more than 500 species of birds. After a picnic lunch, ascend from the crater and return to Arusha, with drop-off at your hotel.
