Let’s march through the quaint town of Furumachi, a place where you can get your fill of Japanese food culture. In the beginning of the Showa-period, Furumachi, along with Tokyo (Shin-bashi) and Kyoto (Gion), was named one of the Three Major Flower streets in Japan. There are many high-class restaurants and easy-going izakayas in the attractive alleys, where you can socialize with locals while enjoying gourmet food. There is no doubt that your trip to Niigata will become a “sake memory”.
