Along the way, you will feel the emotion of the Paiva Rapids, in an experience similar to rafting, but always with total safety, ideal for those seeking adrenaline in full harmony with nature.

Before the descent of the river, the adventure begins with an exciting Jeep tour to the Aldeia da Paradinha, distinguished as Aldeia de Portugal.

At the end, there will still be time to visit the beautiful Villa de Arouca and there to delight in the rich local gastronomy. What to expect

In Porto, at the agreed time, you will pick up a modern van that will transport you, comfortably, to the site of the activity, located on the River Beach of Areínho, in Arouca.

In full Arouca Geopark, you will equip for the descent of a section of the Paiva River, between the Aldeia da Paradinha and the River Beach of Areínho, with an estimated duration of 3 hours. Provides an experience similar to Rafting, by passing the Rapids of the Paiva River, note, without compromising safety. The descent is also preceded by a Tour in Jeep 4X4 to Aldeia da Paradinha, classified as Aldeia de Portugal, with a stop at some of the most iconic geosciences of the Paiva Valley, such as the Garganta do Paiva. There is also the mandatory stop to observe a column, read, a protective wall made, in the ancestors, to protect the columns from the attacks of the turtle bear.

At the end of the activity, before returning to Porto, you can stop at the beautiful Villa de Arouca to enjoy the incredible local cuisine at lunch (optional); or simply explore its historic center, marked by millennial sites, with an emphasis on the Monastery of Arouca and the irresistible conventual candy.
