Our experience will end near the ancient fishing village of Sorrento, Marina Grande.
Leaving behind the modern Piazza Lauro, we will proceed to the main square of Sorrento: Piazza Tasso, which takes its name from the Sorrento writer Torquato Tasso.
We will walk along the main road of Sorrento, which connects it to the rest of the Sorrento peninsula.
We will stop to admire the Vallone dei Mulini, the most photographed place in the world.
We will visit the cathedral church of Sorrento, dedicated to Saints Philip and James. It houses a wonderful example of a Neapolitan nativity scene from the 1700s, the baptistery where Torquato Tasso was baptized and many masterpieces of wood inlay.
The municipal villa of Sorrento is a panoramic point of excellence on the Gulf of Naples. Here you can not miss a photo stop.
We will visit the medieval cloister (XIII century), adjacent to the church of San Francesco. Today the cloister is home to the civil marriages of international tourists.
We will walk through the ancient main street of Sorrento, today a suitable place for shopping for local souvenirs
Among the symbolic places of Sorrento, the Sedile Dominova is a magnificently preserved medieval building and was the seat of the local government until 1800.
