    Zaanse Schans

    14:00 Half-day trip to Zaanse Schans & Volendam. Zaanse Schans is an open-air museum, where 6 windmills are located. In total, more than 10 thousand windmills were built in Holland ! There are also 35 wooden houses of the XVII-XVIII centuries, telling about the lifestyle of the Dutch. Here you can also see a spice mill, an oil mill, a bakery museum, a workshop of wooden clomping shoes, a cheese factory and much more. Transfer to Volendam (~ 25 km). Volendam is a fishing village with its own harbor, introducing tourists to the life of Dutch fishermen in the old days, here you can see locals in traditional clothes. There are many fishing boats in the port of Volendam. A fish auction is held in Volendam. In the harbor, you can buy fish directly from a fishing boat.
