Today, we will meet you at your Marrakech hotel at 8:30 a.m. and travel via the Tizi n'Tichka pass in the Atlas Mountains, admiring the grandeur of the surroundings around us.
We will go through Berber villages and observe and learn about the production of Argan oil by Berber women in their cooperative. We will visit Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Morocco's largest Kasbah and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
After lunch at the Kasbah, we travel to Dades Gorge via Ouarzazate. The city is known as "Hollywood of Africa," and we will travel along the "Road of 1000 Kasbahs."
We come to a halt in "Kalaat M'Gouna." It is well-known for its annual rose festival held in May.
Our day concludes at Dades Valley, where we spend the night in a lovely riad with dinner and breakfast.
After breakfast, we will drive to Tinrghir and the Todra valley, taking in the panoramic vistas of the valley's historic mud Berber villages.
Today you will have approximately 2 hours to hike in Todra Valley and then walk beneath the 300 m high red cliff, where many rock climbers spend their time.
You will then proceed towards Merzouga. You will make photo stops along the journey and also stop at a location where people work to uncover fossils. You will arrive in Merzouga desert in the afternoon and ride your camels, accompanied by an expert camel-man, to explore what is hidden in the center of Morocco's highest sand dunes, enjoy the sunset, and spend the night at the camp with food, a drum party, and a camp fire.
Your camel guide will wake you up to see the sunrise, and after breakfast, you will leisurely camel-trek back to Merzouga, appreciating the stunning Erg Chebbi dunes, which change with the light as the day advances.
You'll travel to Fes via Errachidia, through the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, and to Midelt via the Tizi Ntalghamt pass, stopping in Zaida for a barbecue and a glass of mint tea.
Continuing to Azrou, a Berber village in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where we'll stop to see the Barbarian apes in the cedar forest.
Then we proceed to Ifrane, known as the French village or Morocco's Switzerland, where we will stop for a photo or a drink.
Arriving in Fes, where you will spend the night in a wonderful riad with breakfast.
After breakfast in your riad, you will begin your exploration of Fes, Morocco's "Spiritual City." You will spend the entire morning exploring the Medina and its lanes, visiting the majority of the cultural and historical landmarks, including the famed Al Karaouine Mosque and University (the world's oldest), the Medrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. then go to the pottery cooperative After visiting the main attractions of Fes,
We'll drive north to Chefchaouen, arriving after a few hours and still having time to explore the blue city. Overnight stay in a lovely riad with breakfast.
