    Today is the first day of our tour of Morocco, and we will come to meet you at your hotel in Marrakech. We will take you up in Marrakech and begin our journey to the Dades Valley from there. On the way, we will go through the High Atlas Mountains and across the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass. You will get the opportunity to take in some breathtaking scenery as you make your way through the Berber mountain communities today. You are going to have a wonderful time watching the breathtaking scenery shift throughout the day.

    Ait Ben Haddou

    We will make a stop at the largest Kasbah in Morocco, which is located in the Unesco World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. It was constructed in the late 19th century by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami, and it is now recognized as a significant historical monument by UNESCO. To this day, it is still home to numerous members of the Glaoui family.

    We continue on our way to the Dades Gorge through the road known as "the Thousand Kasbahs," which provides many excellent opportunities for photography of both the natural world and its inhabitants. After arriving at Kalaat M'Gouna, which is well-known for its roses and the festival that takes place there every May during the rose harvest, we will drive to the "Dades Valley." The incredible rock structure known as "the monkey toes" can be seen right here, and it is a sight worth seeing.     We take pleasure in the breathtaking vistas of the historic Berber villages that gaze out over the valley. We pass beneath a crimson cliff that is around 300 meters in height. There is a possibility that we may go on a one-hour hike around the valley, where we will talk to residents working in their fields and learn about the culture of the area.

    Merzouga Desert

    Our tour departing from Marrakech will go to Merzouga via Erfoud after lunch at this location. As we travel through the valley of Tafilalet in Morocco, we pass past the country's largest date palm grove. We will take a stroll around the traditional souk in Rissani, and along the way, we will learn about the commerce caravans that traveled all the way to Tombouctou in Mali. After arriving in the desert of Merzouga in the afternoon, we check in to your riad and have dinner there.
