Have fun and learn something new on a camel ride across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This Fes to Marrakech desert tour lasts for three days and includes a camel ride across the desert, a visit to the most renowned Kasbah in Morocco (Ait Ben Haddou), and a drive over the high Atlas Mountains.
The journey from Fes to Marrakech takes three days and brings travelers through the Cedars forest, the Atlas highlands, and the desert.
We pick up all clients from any place in Fes city.
Our 3 days excursion will begin in Fes, and from there we will head south through Midelt and Errachidia on our way to Merzouga.
Your journey will begin in the city of Ifrane, also known as "the Switzerland of Morocco." From there, you will continue on to Merzouga by way of Midelt and the Ziz Valley. Throughout the course of your excursion, you will have opportunities to catch sight of both the Middle Atlas and the Higher Atlas mountains.
You will have the chance to view Barbary apes when you stop at the well-known cedar forest, which is the largest of its kind in Morocco. As you get closer to the city of Errachidia, you will see that the landscape starts to transform and show more signs of the desert. Following lunch in Midelt, you will continue your drive down the breathtaking Ziz Valley, pausing periodically to take in the breathtaking vistas along the route.
We will travel by car through Berber villages to reach Erfoud, and then continue on to Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, which is the royal family that currently rules Morocco. When you arrive at Merzouga at the end of the day, you will be greeted with a drink of mint tea, and then you will ride your camel to the center of the tallest sand dunes in Morocco, where you will spend the night. You will spend the night at our desert camp, which is also where you will eat dinner.
Your camel guide will wake you up at an ungodly hour so that you may witness the dawn, which has the potential to be the most beautiful you've ever seen. After that, you'll have a relaxing camel walk back to your riad while savoring the stunning natural beauty of the Erg Chebbi dunes, which will continue to transform throughout the day as the sun moves over them.
After having breakfast and a steaming shower in a typical Moroccan guesthouse, you will go to the Tinghir and Todgha gorges, which are Morocco's tallest and narrowest gorges, respectively. You'll have the chance to go for a trek all the way along the valley here.
We are going to take a trip through Dades Valley, which is famous for its incredible rock formations called "monkey toes," as well as its imposing sand castles. The riad or guesthouse that you will be staying in for the night is going to be located right in the middle of the gorge.
Following breakfast, we will continue our journey from Fes and make our way to Ouarzazate and Kalaat M'Gouna by way of the Dades Valley. The road that goes through Dades Valley is known as the path of a thousand Kasbahs, and it will provide you with a wealth of opportunity to capture some of the most memorable photographs of your trip. We'll make a pit stop at Kalaat M'Gouna, often known as "the rose city," to pick up some rosewater on the way back. This will ensure that your linens continue to smell pleasant long after your trip is done.
Continue on your journey to Ouarzazate, sometimes known as "the Hollywood of Africa," and spend some time checking out the Atlas studios and the kasbah in the city.
The well-known Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, which is the biggest Kasbah in all of Morocco, is where lunch will be served. As a global treasure, UNESCO has acknowledged its significance. It has been featured in a number of movies, including as "Gladiator" and "Lawrence of Arabia," and became renowned as a result.
Before arriving at your accommodation in Marrakech, where the tour from Fes comes to an end, we will continue our travels over the High Atlas Mountains via the majestic Tizi n'Tichka pass, which is 2,260 meters in elevation. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop and observe the production of argan oil at women's cooperatives.
