It is possible to become familiar with one of Morocco's most important areas in just six days.
We pick up all clients from any place in Casablanca city.
We will pick you up at the airport or come to your hotel in Casablanca and drive you to Fes, making stops at Rabat and Meknes along the way.
Discover the kasbah and the medina in the capital city.
We may make brief pauses to see the significant sites in those cities as well as the Roman ruins, and then we'll continue on to Fes, where you'll arrive in the evening and stay the night in a traditional Moroccan home. We can make these breaks at any time (riad).
Arrive in Fes , overnight at Fes medina hotel.
The ancient city, known as the Medina, and its winding lanes will be explored for the better part of the morning. The first stop on your tour is the Jewish Quarter (also known as the Mellah), followed by the Royal Palace Yard, which is the largest of its kind in the whole nation. You will go on a tour of the world-famous tanneries as well as the Quaraouine mosque, which is often regarded as the world's first educational institution. You'll be treated to a breathtaking vista that encompasses the whole city. The same riad will also serve as the location for the overnight accommodations.
Following breakfast, we will depart Fes and make our way towards Ifrane, which is sometimes referred to as "the Switzerland of Morocco." You will catch glimpses of both the Middle Atlas and the Higher Atlas mountains while you are on your excursion.
Stopping at Azrou, a Berber town situated smack dab in the center of Morocco's most famous and extensive cedar forest, where you have a good chance of spotting Barbary apes. After lunch, we will go across the Tizi Ntalghamt pass and down the majestic Ziz Gorges formed through volcanic rock and into the picturesque Ziz Valley, pausing for panoramic views along the route. Lunch will be served in a traditional Moroccan restaurant in Midelt.
As we make our way to Erfoud and then Rissani on the way to Merzouga, we'll stop in several friendly Berber settlements along the way. Before you check in to our guest home amidst the sand dunes, we will serve you a glass of mint tea as a way to say hello and welcome you.
Have fun wandering around the neighborhood. You are going to pay a visit to the Gnawa people in their hamlet of Khamlia, and while you are there, you are going to learn about the music of the Gnawa as well as their way of life. After that, we will take a road trip into the Sahara desert region, where we will have the opportunity to visit nomad communities that are still living in Berber tents that are constructed from the wool of their animals. Our group will be dining with a Berber family today to enjoy a traditional dish (Berber pizza).
We visit the ancient city of Rissani, where the Alaouite dynasty — Morocco's current reigning royal family — originated. Rissani is surrounded by around 360 ksar (fortified villages with several towers) and has a large souk (open market) that is held three times every week. Once known as Sijilmassa, this was the location where salt caravans from Mali's Timbuctou met. Here, you will traverse the souk, which is filled with spices, veggies, and fabrics.
Later, we will return to the hamlet of Merzouga, where your camel, led by an expert camel guy, will be waiting for you. The camel ride takes approximately an hour to reach the camp in the center of the tallest sand dunes, where you will spend the night to see the sunset and stars. In the camp, supper will be provided.
Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to see what may be the spectacular sunrise of your life, after which you will return to the hamlet via camel journey. On the way, you will be able to experience the unique beauty of the magnificent Erg Chebbi dunes, which change as the day advances.
After having breakfast and taking a shower at the Riad, you will go to the tallest and narrowest gorges in Morocco, which are the Rissani, Tinghir, and Todgha gorges.
After lunch in the heart of the gorge, we will drive into the Dades Valley, where you will witness the spectacular rock formations known as "monkey toes" and the gorgeous sand castles. Spend the night in our historic guest home and enjoy both supper and breakfast here.
After breakfast, we will go to Kalaat M'Gouna and Ouarzazate via the Dades Valley. The journey through Dades Valley is known as the "way of a thousand Kasbahs," affording countless opportunity to capture some of the trip's finest photographs.
We will stop at Kalaat M'Gouna, often known as "the city of roses," to get rosewater, which will keep your linens smelling fresh long after your trip is done.
Our journey will continue to Ouarzazate and the biggest Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. In the 18th century, Et Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains, constructed the Kasbah, which is today home to numerous Glaoui people.
Your drive will continue across the spectacular Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains, where we may stop to explore the manner and process of manufacturing argan oil by Berber women in their cooperatives before arriving at your Marrakech lodging.
