The samurai code of conduct is called bushido. This experience will introduce you to Iaido, the predominant swordsmanship style practiced by Samurai for more than six centuries, which revolves around the swift and controlled sword drawing to respond to any sudden attacks.
From the controlled drawing of the sword, to deftly striking an opponent, and placing the sword back into the scabbard, all are significant components of Iaido.
Discover the true essence of Iaido by learning from a master, and get to slash a cardboard dummy with a sword. Admire the master's skill up close by watching his demonstration. As you go through the process, you will feel the sense of courtesy and discipline that are samurai values.
Your experience will take place at International Iaido Organization HOGYOKUKAI, the largest organization that teaches Mugai Ryu. Learn directly from the masters!

Meeting and pickup

What to expect
Start your experience by changing into the proper Iaido uniform and being introduced to its art as you begin your practice. You will learn how to draw your sword and hold it properly, as well as how to perform all the correct movements. You are going to have the chance to put your skills to the test and cut a dummy! Following your experience observe a demonstration of the master's skill. At the end of your experience receive a Certificate of Completion for participating.
