Experience Japanese Calligraphy in a traditional Machiya in Kyoto.

Calligraphy is an important part of Japanese culture, involving the art of Kanji characters with sumi ink on white paper. Each artist brings their unique style, adding charm and making each piece distinct.

Painting Kanji characters may seem challenging, but it becomes easier if you approach it as if you were drawing a pictograph or picture. Under the careful guidance of an experienced instructor, even beginners will be able write beautifully.
