On this tour guided by marine biologists specialized in fishing, you will be able to tour the pier and the different fishing facilities in the port of Barcelona. With this introduction to the private world of the fishing port, you will be able to learn about the biodiversity of the Mediterranean and the responsible consumption of fishing. First, the visit welcomes the fishing boats as they enter the port and then the different species of fish most common on the coast of Barcelona are distinguished while the fishing equipment used by the fishermen is observed in detail. Later, continuing with the guided tour, you attend the exciting market where fish is auctioned in a unique and traditional way. The visit will also visit the Clock Tower, located in the port and its history with Pierre François André Méchain, a scientist who took the measurements that served to create the decimal metric system, which we use today.
