In this unique museum in Catalonia and Spain you will find nearly 1500 pieces between period printed publications and original work. A dual look that allows the visitor to observe in detail the original work of countless authors, as well as assess nuances and differences between the final art from the author's pen and the printed comic.

The choice of headers provides the visitor with a precise reading about the origin and evolution of the medium, its different stages, the formats and targets, the most prominent creators, and others who were not so prominent, the currents, etc.

Until August 27 you can visit the temporary exhibition "Fantastic 4 of the comics", to learn about the career and works of four of our best cartoonists: Guillem Cifré, Alfons Figueras, Àngel Puigmiquel and Martz-Schmidt. Also, until November 26, the temporary exhibition "Superman, 85 years of cartoons" will be available as a memory and tribute to this character.

A national museum dedicated exclusively to commemorating and disseminating the space of Comics and illustration in the maximum historical extension of both media. The Museum's permanent exhibition proposes a tour that ranges from the first publication positioned entirely in the field of graphic narrative (The Monigoty, 1897) to the headlines or characters from the most recent era. Without forgetting the first revelations of the medium in children's and satirical magazines that date back to the middle of the 19th century. A discourse that began around 1865, in the first manifestations of the medium, describing its graphic and conceptual evolution, its definitive expansion in the middle of the 20th century, with a turning point in the 80s of the last century, when the Cartoon comes of age and decidedly enters the adult target.
