On this tour you will discover the Stockmacher village Lindewerra and glide along the Werra loop in the former inner German border area between Thuringia and Hesse.
During the tour you will discover the traces of the former inner German border. You will learn more about the history of this area and have the opportunity to take many beautiful photos, including from the Werraufer, the railway viaduct and Ludwigsstein Castle. On the way back we stop at the "Zur Stockmacherei" inn and enjoy a coffee.
We meet in the parking lot.
After a brief briefing on the Segway, we follow the bike path along the Werra towards Lindewerra.
Lindewerra is the most famous stockmaking village in Europe, maybe even worldwide. We learn the history of stick making and discover the traces of the former inner German border. Right around the river, we drive around the Werra loop to the Whiskey-Vodka line with a view of Ludwigsstein Castle. Pure nature!
We discover the railway viaduct and learn about the history of the whiskey-vodka railway line. Let yourself be surprised.
At the last stick maker from Lindewerra we enjoy a delicious coffee in the shadow of the Devil's Pulpit. There is also the possibility to view many different floor models.
