Enjoy a true local lifestyle with this summer & autumn private tour, combining an authentic reindeer farm visit with a relaxing lakeside sauna experience in the wilderness.

Start your tour with a visit to a traditional reindeer farm, where you’ll meet Lapland’s iconic animals, feed them, and learn about the herders’ way of life.

Afterwards, your guide will lead you into the forest to a peaceful lakeside cabin with a wood-heated sauna. With no electricity or running water, the setting offers a truly authentic and relaxing experience.

You’ll learn to use the sauna the Finnish way—perhaps even take a dip in the lake! Towels, natural soaps, and all equipment are provided. The tour is always private, and your guide will prepare hot drinks while you unwind in the sauna.

What to expect

Enjoy a true local experience with this summer & autumn tour, combining an authentic reindeer farm visit with a relaxing lakeside sauna experience in the wilderness.

Your adventure begins at a reindeer farm, where you will meet the iconic animals of Lapland. This is your chance to get up close with these lovely animals, feed them and learn more about them. The local herders will welcome you and share stories of their way of life, passed down through generations.

After the reindeer farm visit, your guide will take you into forests to a wilderness cabin with a log sauna. The traditional cabin, called mökki in Finnish, has no electricity or running water! The setting is incredibly peaceful. Your guide will lit the wood-burner in the sauna and give you more instructions how to use it in the very Finnish way. There is also a pontoon that leads directly to the lake. Sauna towels, soaps and other equipment needed will be provided (please bring your swimsuit if you need to). '

The experience is always private. While you enjoy the traditional sauna, your guide will prepare hot drinks and sweet snacks in the cabin. The sauna session lasts approximately one hour.
