You will be picked at your hotel in Dar Es Salaam/ Zanzibar at 0700 Hours and drive towards airport for your flight towards Selous departing at 1030 Hours. You will depart Dar Es Salaam arriving at Selous at approximately 1100 Hours. Upon arrival you will be met and received by your driver guide and start a short game drive as you head towards your booked accommodation

you will begin a two hours game drive from the airport trip within the vast wilderness of the Nyerere national park formerly called Selous Game Reserve. After mid day your driver lunch will drive you to camp for a hot lunch and a short rest before the boat safari in the evening.

You will arrive at your camp in time for lunch and afternoon rest on the shores of the Rufiji River. Boating safaris is perhaps the most relaxing way to game view. Sharing the river with families of hippo and crocodiles gives you an opportunity to view birds nesting in the banks, monitor lizards, and many water birds are just some of the highlights. You will return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight on the banks of the Rufiji River.

You will have breakfast and depart early morning for your game drive. You will be on the lookout for Leopards, Lions, and the Wild dogs packs of the Selous. Nyerere National Park also has lots of Elephants and Giraffes herds which are easily seen near the camp. You will later return to the camp for lunch and afternoon rest. In the evening you will have another sunset game drive as you look for the wildlife as the sun gets cooler and the temperatures start to drop. You will return to your camp in the evening as the sun sets across the Rufiji River.

You will have an early morning game drive and return to your camp for breakfast at the camp. You will check out from the camp and be transferred by your guide from the camp to the Mtemere airstrip for your flight out of Selous and back to Dar Es Salaam. Your flight departs at approximately 1130 Hours starting your journey back to Dar. Upon arrival at Dar you will be transferred to your hotel in Dar Es Salaam or catch your international flight out of Dar Es Salaam onwards.
