Discover the hidden wild side of Tanzania! Gombe National Park is famous for Jane Goodall Chimpanzee Project. Although the Chimpanzees are the Gombe’s primary attraction there are many other primates, and mammals to be seen. The bird-life in Gombe is extraordinary, as there is a great crossover of East African grassland birds and West African forest species. A trek to Gombe National Park and Mahale is a perfect choice for those intrepid travelers who wish to experience remoteness and unspoiled wilderness.

Morning departure from Arusha/Dar es Salaam/ Zanzibar Airport with a commercial flight to Kigoma. On arrival you will be picked up and and transfer to Gombe National Park, on arrival you will check-in at your accommodation where a hot lunch would be served.

After Lunch and a short rest you will meet with a professional armed ranger and begin a 3-4 hour chimpanzee trek within the tropical dense forests of Gombe Stream National Park experience various chimpanzee clans, warthogs, baboons and many monkey species. Return to camp for refreshments and Dinner.

After breakfast you will begin a 2 transfer to Mahale Mountain National Park, Boat excursion available at an extra cost

on arrival you will have lunch and a short rest then head for the chimpanzee trek in the mountain. Later return to camp for Dinner and overnight

You will have breakfast at 07h00, and then at 08h00 go for chimpanzee trekking in the forest. You will visit waterfalls inside the park, go birding watching, and in the evening time swim in the Lake Tanganyika followed by a bonfire on the beach.

After break fast we will head to the mountain for a 3 hour morning trek later return to our hotel check out and begin a 5 hour drive to Kigoma Town.
