After pickup from your Uyuni accommodation, head straight into the world's largest salt desert. Marvel at the seemingly endless expanse of lily-white salt, stretching out in every perceptible direction. Traveling through the salt flats, you'll head to the train cemetery, which is home to decrepit, abandoned trains and a train museum.
Afterward, you will enjoy a visit to the town of Colchani, where you can view local artisan products and souvenirs while learning about the means of extracting usable salt from the flats.
Onwards, you will head to the Incahuasi Island, which is surrounded on all sides by salt flats, where you can enjoy a picturesque 360-degree view. Leaving the island, you will enjoy a sumptuous local lunch in the middle of the Uyuni salt flats, accompanied by local drinks.
As the sun sets, marvel at the Technicolor display over the mirror-like surface of the water that pools over the salt flats. As night falls, you can sip hot drinks and gaze at the twinkling stars, with unparalleled views of the Milky Way, shooting stars, and constellations that form the basis of the Andean worldview.
