A day hike in Kilimanjaro National Park allows you to experience what climbing the mountain is like without having to make the grueling trek to the peak. Africa's highest and most famous mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro, lies at 5,895 meters above sea level and a full hike takes between six and eight days. Visit this famous park over one day and enjoy the forests of the lower slopes. Have lunch in the park before hiking back down to the gate.

Our guide will spend the day with you as you make your way from Machame Gate to Machame Hut, the first campsite on Mount Kilimanjaro's Machame Route. Spend the day in the rain forest viewing the wildlife and plants of this diverse ecosystem.
