Day 1. Arrival and transfer to Planet Lodge

    1 stop
  • 1
    Mount Kilimanjaro

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to accommodation in Arusha, Planet Lodge. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro typically takes multiple days due to its altitude and the need for acclimatization to reduce the risk of altitude sickness. The most common routes take around 5 to 9 days for the ascent and descent. Trying to hike Kilimanjaro in a single day would be extremely challenging, risky, and not recommended due to the potential health hazards associated with rapid altitude gain. It's crucial to follow established itineraries that allow for a gradual ascent to ensure the safety and well-being of climbers.
