Highly rewarding hike uses a bush trail that winds up Mount Alma, the 736ft hill looming over Trellis Bay and Bluff Bay on Beef Island. Label as one of the best 360 view in the British Virgin Islands. In past years, a spring was present flowing from the mountain while parts of the mountain was use for cattle. These days it’s occasionally used by technicians maintaining an airport navigation light up there, and occasionally by hikers like us. In 2017 the trail was destroyed by hurricane Irma with fallen trees and land slides. In 2020 our team of three cleared and create a new trail all the way to the top!
Now we can enjoy this hidden gem!
