At the Miradouro dos Caimbros, the Guide will show you panoramic views of the coast, the Atlantic and the island’s green landscape, explaining the local history and culture.
At the Cedros Miradouro, the (a) Guide will show you the view of Corvo Island and the coast of Flores Island, sharing information about the local geography and history. It is a spot appreciated by our visitors for the tranquility of the place and the feeling of being on top of the island, ideal for observing the landscape and taking photos.
At the Ilhéu Furado Miradouro, the (a) Guide will show the rocky formation in the sea and the surrounding coast, explaining the geology and local history. Visitors appreciate the place for the direct view to the Atlantic and the opportunity to photograph the Ilhéu Furado from close.
In the Mr. Machado Museum, the (a) Guide will show objects, photographs and memories of local life, explaining the history and traditions of the island of the Flores. Visitors appreciate the space by getting to know the culture and everyday life of the locals, including the Museum Owner with the tasting of his liquor made on the island.
At Mid-Day Peak, the (a) Guide will show the island's landscape and the Atlantic and Corvo Island horizon, sharing information about the geography and local curiosities.
The (a) Guide shows a quiet volcanic lagoon on the island's central plateau, with clear waters and surrounded by a gentle ring of tuffs. It is an appreciated spot to observe birds in the wild and feel the calm of the interior of the island, with good opportunity for photographs and explanations about the geological formation of this place.
In the Black Lagoon, the (a) Guide will show you one of the island's most well-known volcanic lagoons, with dark, deep waters that contrast with the vegetation around. The lagoon is next to the Lagoon Comprehensive, forming a set of lagoons with distinct shapes and unique colors, often pointed out by our visitors as one of the most striking natural landscapes of the Flores
Another miradouro where we will pass will be the Miradouro do Portal. In this viewpoint, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show the west coast of the island and the Atlantic Ocean, explaining the geology and curiosities about the formation of the island. You can enjoy the open landscape, take photographs and better understand the relationship between the island and the sea.
At the Ribeira do Ferreiro Poço, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show the waterfalls and the surrounding valley, explaining the local geology and typical vegetation. You will be able to observe the water falling in multiple levels, take photos and feel the tranquility of the place. This point involves a walk about 1.5km, prepare the tennis and the camera, this place will impress.
At Bacalhau Poço, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show the impressive waterfall that disappears in a natural pool, explaining curiosities about the local geology and vegetation. You can enjoy the landscape, take photos and, depending on the conditions, even cool down in the water, in a typical setting of the island of Flores.
In Fajã Grande, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show the most western Villa in Europe, explaining the local history, the life of the inhabitants and curiosities about the region. Visitors will be able to explore the streets, appreciate the typical architecture and take photos, feeling the quiet atmosphere of the Villa.
In Ilhéu do Monchique, the (a) Guide will make a stop at the Fajã Grande lighthouse to show the westernmost point of Europe. At the same time, you can contemplate the Atlantic Ocean, the coastal waterfalls and the island, a unique view of the world, take photographs and hear curiosities about the local geography and history.
In the Rocha dos Bordões, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show the unique vertical basaltic columns, explaining how they formed and their geological importance. Visitors will be able to observe this impressive formation from close, take photographs and see the surrounding landscape.
Stop for lunch at a regional restaurant, where a free buffet with regional dishes will be served, allowing you to taste local gastronomy in a relaxed atmosphere. After lunch continue the experience in the cultural part, history of the island. In Lajes das Flores, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show the historic Villa, the harbour and the typical architecture of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, explaining the local history and traditions.
At Caldeira Rasa and Caldeira Funda, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show two volcanic lagoons from the center of the island, explaining their geological formation and the typical vegetation around.
At Miradouro Craveiro Lopes, the (a) Guide will make a stop to show a wide view over the coast and the villages of the island, explaining local geography and curiosities about the history and culture of these villages. You will be able to appreciate the valley landscape, take photos and feel the tranquility of the place
At Lagoa da Lomba, the Guide will make a stop to show you a quiet lagoon inside the island, surrounded by pastures and gentle hills. Visitors can observe the calm water reflecting the landscape
