Once we start getting close to the pyrene mountain range we arrive at Espelette, one of the nicest villages in France. Strolling through the streets of this village is a real pleasure. Peppers hang from its picturesque houses, creating a postcard that is hard to forget In this village, there is a lot to see and taste. We love visiting the local vendor and trying the local charcuterie, the artisan cheese from the Pyrenees, their famous Espelette pepper and its derivatives, cherries, artisan beer, and more. We will also visit its street, the amazing Saint Etienne church, the cemetery, and the amazing and picturesque architecture in general. Later we will be able to enjoy a farm-to-table lunch in a familiar restaurant around (where they produce their own charcuterie, meat, and cheese). There is about 20 minutes drive to the stop.
