The tour continues to the docks and along the Belmullet Canal built in 1845. The canal links Blacksod and Broadhaven Bays and the water always flows from Blacksod to Broadhaven. Find out why.

We will stop at the Community Hospital which was the location of the Belmullet Workhouse build in the 1850's. The stigma of the workhouse is very much associated with the Great Famine.

A visit to 'The Temple of the Tides of Time' instillation by Travis Price will cause debate as does all public art. Locals call this the 'Bellmullet Bus Stop'.

Crossing the canal via the stainless steel footbridge (also by Travis Price) we return to Belmullet 'city centre' to complete the tour. On completion we will have 5,000 steps under our belt.
