The huskies are family and pets. They live at the homes of their individual musher and not at Chena Outdoor Collective. When you join the teams for a ride, you'll learn about each individual dog and the unique lifestyle of a musher.

Please check in at the maroon yurt. Guests must arrive 15-minutes early. This allows time for restrooms, signing waivers, and gearing up before hitting the trail.

What to expect
For guests craving more time with the sled dogs in spectacular scenery, this 1-hour dog sled ride is for you! Enjoy a longer mush through the Chena River Valley as you wind through beautiful black spruce forest and along the frozen Chena River. You'll be in the safe and experienced hands of local mushers with their own teams of dogs. Hear stories about each dog as well as learn about the unique mushing lifestyle. The tour includes about 45-minutes of mushing and 15-minutes of cuddling with dogs and photography stops.
Notes about the experience:
If the temperature is -35F or colder at Chena Outdoor Collective at 8:00 AM the morning of your tour, we will try to reschedule for a warmer day or cancel for a full refund.
Two guests ride in each sled. Maximum weight in the sled is 430 pounds.
If you and your traveling companion have a combined weight of over 430 pounds, you must purchase an additional ticket.
For odd numbered groups, one person will be solo. Maximum weight in the sled is 430 pounds.
