After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti and head toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the crater rim, you will descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and offers one of the highest wildlife densities in Africa. Here, you may spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife including flamingos near the crater lake. Because the animals remain within the crater walls year-round, wildlife viewing is exceptional. After lunch inside the crater, ascend back to the rim and drive to Arusha for your overnight stay.
