    Piazza Venezia

    You will start the tour meeting your friendly, professional guide at our meeting point in the very center of the city in Piazza Venezia. This square has been the center of the city for over 2000 years and the architects who shaped the view we see today range from Julius Caesar to Napoleon and even Michelangelo, whose artist’s studio was in this very square! Here you will learn about all the different influences that shaped Rome over its long history and made it the city that it is today. You will also get a view of the large monument Altare della Patria, more commonly known as the Vittoriano as it is a monument dedicated to Italy's first King.

    From Piazza Venezia, a short walk will take you to Largo di Torre Argentina where ancient temples stand towering over the actual spot where Julius Caesar was assassinated. Here you’ll learn more about Julius Caesar’s incredible life and gruesome death, how he went from an unknown soldier to ruling an empire, and why it was all so violently taken from him.

    From there the tour continues to the beautiful Baroque square of Piazza Navona to see the famous fountains designed by Bernini.     Last but not least, the tour heads towards Piazza di Spagna and the world famous Spanish Steps.
