We are a local family interacting and teaching about the local cuisine in Manuel Antonio from the local taste perspective. You will be learning directly from the locals how to best combine native ingredients with the best spices to get a tasty meal.

What to expect
On the way there we will talk about points of interest and local history of Quepos and Manuel Antonio towns.
Upon arrival we will explain the origins of Costa Rican food, we will visit our Medicinal Plant Garden for a taste of herbs and drink a delicious & healthy tea. Cold or warm.
Finally we will continue to our cooking site, where we will all together prepare an authentic meal. The meal we make is called CASADO and it comes in different presentations. We will, based on the day and the local available ingredients choose the best option. Vegetarian also possible.
This dish is also served with some variations as side orders, some of them are fried-plantains or ripe-boiled plantains, French fries, avocado, tortilla with cheese, eggs, corn, or a sort of vegetable stew, called picadillo spiced with onions, peppers, cilantro and other flavors.
Due to its composition this dish can be very balanced and suitable for people’s diet containing a series of proteins, vegetables and carbs. See total Ingrediens below.
