On this tour you can select 1 (one) out of the 6 (six) different Palaces in Sintra to visit on the inside and then spend some time cruising along to see the rest from the outside, while stopping at certain viewpoints from the hills all the way until the coast.
As a local, with 5+ years of experience in the field, you can expect our guide Nuno to teach you not only about the history of the sites you're going to see, but to also include your group in the culture and tradition of the region so this way you will feel like a true local!

Due to the layout of the city of Lisbon, there might be some streets or roads that are inacessible. If your Hotel/Accommodation is located in one of these harder areas, you will be asked to meet the guide at the nearest acessible area.

1Park and National Palace of Pena
One of the most well-known attractions in Sintra and perhaps in Portugal. Sitting at the top of the Sintra Hills, it's privileged location represents the monarchy at it's high in Portugal. A magnificient and exuberant Palace stands in the middle of a 85 hectares (220 acres) natural park, considered by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. PLEASE NOTE: - Visiting the Grounds, Gardens or the Palace itself is optional, however if you wish to select this monument to visit on the inside, then it is highly recommended to purchase the tickets ahead of time, because they sell out. - The visit to the Grounds, Gardens or Palace is self-guided and you'll be given some free time to explore. - Tickets are NOT included in the price of the tour! - If you need assistance in choosing the time slot you can send us a message.

Castelo dos Mouros (Pass by)
Built by the Moors in the 8th and 9th centuries, it was an important strategic point during the Reconquista, and was taken by Christian forces after the fall of Lisbon in 1147. Considered to be the "crown" of Sintra. We will stop at certain viewpoints where you'll be able to see the Castle.

The Biester Palace dates back to the last two decades of the 19th century (1880-1890), and is a Romantic work par excellence, eclectic and exuberant, with elegant elevations that reveal the good taste of the period at its peak. The execution of the magnificent frescoes and carvings, which richly decorate all the walls, was given to the most renowned artists, Luigi Manini and Leandro Braga. Sintra National Palace (Pass by)
Standing in the historical heart of Sintra, this is the best-preserved medieval royal residence in Portugal, being inhabited more or less continuously from at least the early 15th century to the late 19th century. We will be able to see this Palace from the outside from different viewpoints along to way to the other monuments

3Quinta da Regaleira
The second most well-known attraction in Sintra. Incredible property with a mix and mash of different architectural styles and some deep stories involving secret societies, templars and millionars. Home to the most photographed place in Sintra, the Initiation Well. The Seteais Palace is a neoclassical palace operating nowadays as a luxury hotel known as the Tivoli Palácio de Seteais Hotel. It's gardens rival those of famous french palaces and the view from behind it's iconic arch is a must-see.

5Parque e Palacio de Monserrate
