The "Blue Eye" is a water spring and natural phenomenon occurring in the village of Muzinë in Finiq municipality, southern Albania. A popular tourist attraction, the clear blue water of the river can be seen from a depth of more than fifty metres. Take a refreshing break at this stunning natural spring. Explore the beautiful surroundings, take pictures, and enjoy the vibrant blue waters.
Sarandë is a city in the Republic of Albania and the seat of Sarandë Municipality. Geographically, the city is located on an open sea gulf of the Ionian Sea within the Mediterranean Sea. Stretching along the Albanian Ionian Sea Coast, Sarandë has a Mediterranean climate with over 300 sunny days a year. After visiting Bye Eye we will arrive at Saranda City. Stroll along the promenade, visit local shops, or relax at the beach.
Optional: Visiting the ancient ruins of the Castle of Lekuresi for panoramic views of Saranda at sunset. Enjoyin a diiner at Lekuresi Castle with Albanian traditional food. Lekursi Castle (Kajala e Lëkurësit) is a castle on Lekursi Hill, just behind Saranda with an amazing view over the town and bay, making this the most popular and iconic viewpoint of Saranda.
Gjirokastra is enchanted with the almost fabulously steep alleys, where each building has its history written in stone. Located in southern Albania, Gjirokastra lies on the steep slopes of the Drino River valley, in a dominant position and a landscape rich in history. This is the “city of a thousand staircases”, which includes hundreds of houses – Ottoman-type towers with stone roofs, wooden balconies and stone walls. With a magnificent castle on a steep hill, Gjirokastra is the magical city with a troubled past, since 2005, it is part of UNESCO’s world heritage.
Breakfast in Saranda and get ready for a day of exploration. We will Visit Butrint National Park: the UNESCO World Heritage site of Butrint. Explore the extensive ruins, including the ancient theater, basilica, and city walls. Enjoy the lush natural surroundings.
Free time for lunch in Ksamil enjoying the crystal water of the Ionian Sea.
Begin your journey back, stopping for scenic views along the way. If time allows, we will stop at the "Uji i Ftohte" near Tepelena to relax, breathe fresh air, and refresh ourselves.
