At 8:30 AM, our guide will pick you up in Ha Giang, either at your hotel or the bus office where you arrive. After a short introduction to the itinerary. Your journey to explore the beauty of Ha Giang officially begins. After about 45 minutes on the road, you will reach Bac Sum Pass — the first stop that opens up the breathtaking mountain scenery right after leaving the town. Here, you can relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, and breathe in the fresh mountain air that marks the true beginning of your adventure.
Leaving Bac Sum behind, the trip continues to Quan Ba Heaven Gate, where a sweeping panoramic view unfolds before your eyes. From this viewpoint, you can admire the terraced fields, small villages nestled deep in the valley, and especially the iconic Twin Mountains — the Mountain Queen — one of the most famous symbols of Ha Giang. The scenery is both majestic and gentle, inviting you to pause and take in its beauty.
From Quan Ba, the journey flows through the winding mountain roads from Can Ty to Yen Minh. This is where the beauty of Ha Giang becomes even more captivating: towering limestone mountains, lush green valleys, and soft curves of the mountain passes that hug the hillsides. Around 12:30 PM, you will arrive in Yen Minh for lunch, enjoying flavorful traditional dishes prepared by the local people. After lunch, the adventure continues toward Tham Ma Pass — known for having some of the most beautiful S-shaped curves in Ha Giang. You'll stop here to take stunning photos and listen to stories from your guide about the culture, traditions, and everyday life of the ethnic communities living in the region.
In the afternoon, around 3 PM, you will reach Dong Van, the heart of the UNESCO Global Geopark. The landscape here is extraordinary, with sharp karst mountains, rocky slopes, and dramatic cliffs that create a rare and striking beauty found only in Ha Giang. Afterwards, you will head to Dong Van Town, check in at a local homestay, and enjoy a peaceful moment to rest. At 7 PM, your guide and Easy Rider will take you to Dong Van Old Quarter for dinner, where you can savor local specialties and warm up with a little “happy water” (corn or rice wine) in the cool evening weather. After dinner, you are free to wander the ancient streets, admire the stone houses, and enjoy traditional performances by the Hmong people — a perfect way to end a meaningful and memorable first day in Ha Giang.
Early in the morning, you wake up to the fresh mountain air of Dong Van. Breakfast is a warm and simple delight — a plate of crepes and a cup of hot coffee to start the day slowly and peacefully. After breakfast, you pack your belongings, check out of your room, and around 8:30 AM, say goodbye to your friendly homestay hosts as the journey continues. After about 30 minutes of riding, you will reach the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of the four most beautiful and dangerous mountain passes in northern Vietnam. Here, you will leave your motorbike behind and follow your guide on a one-hour walk along a narrow cliffside trail. This path offers a perfect viewpoint over the Tu San Canyon — the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. On clear days, you can even see all the way to the Vietnam–China border, making this moment one of the most unforgettable highlights of the trip.
After the hike, the journey continues by motorbike along the majestic Ma Pi Leng Pass toward Meo Vac, a region known for having some of the most stunning mountain formations on the entire loop. This section of the road also brings you to the iconic M-Slope, where the road bends sharply in the shape of the letter “M,” surrounded by dramatic limestone peaks. It’s the perfect place to rest, enjoy a cup of coffee, and take in the sweeping scenery after an active morning.
Around 1:00 PM, you’ll arrive in Mau Due, a small Tay ethnic village, and stop for a local lunch. After the meal, the route leads you to Lung Ho, a viewpoint where the landscape feels like a painted masterpiece — tiny villages lying quietly at the foot of the mountains, forests wrapping around the valleys, and layer upon layer of rugged peaks. Your guide will help you capture photos and videos so you can keep these memories forever.
By 4:00 PM, you’ll reach Du Gia, a peaceful village home to both Hmong and Tay communities. Here, you will check in at a local homestay. If the weather is nice, your guide will take you to the nearby Du Gia Waterfall, where cool, crystal-clear water flows from the forest above. You can swim, relax, or simply sit by the stream and enjoy the calm atmosphere of nature. Around 7:00 PM, everyone gathers at the homestay for dinner — a warm family-style meal made from fresh local ingredients. You’ll share stories, taste traditional dishes, and enjoy a little “happy water,” homemade rice wine crafted by the host family. It’s a cozy, authentic experience that allows you to truly connect with the culture and people of Ha Giang.
In the morning, you wake up in Du Gia to the peaceful mountain air and enjoy a light breakfast at your homestay before starting the final day of the Ha Giang Loop. After leaving the village, you ride along winding roads, surrounded by majestic mountains and quiet ethnic hamlets, until you reach Ban An, a village that has preserved its traditional lifestyle and pristine natural beauty.
Next, you arrive at Ngoc Long, where a special experience awaits: bamboo rafting on the river. Glide gently along the clear, emerald waters, surrounded by towering limestone peaks and lush forests. You can also take a refreshing swim in the river, feeling completely immersed in the untouched nature of northern Vietnam.
After the rafting experience, the journey continues to Thai An, where you stop for lunch with local dishes.
Following lunch, you ride along the scenic valleys and the banks of the Lo River, taking in the last breathtaking landscapes of the loop before arriving back in Ha Giang City around 4:00 PM. Your three-day adventure comes to an end, leaving unforgettable memories of majestic scenery, rich local culture, and the warmth and hospitality of the ethnic communities.
