Mountains Circuit– departures from Carvoeiro, Portimão, Alvor:
Head toward Monchique, a picturesque village near Fóia, the Algarve’s highest point. Learn about local flora and fauna, including the cork oak. Stop at a traditional distillery to taste arbutus spirit and honey before continuing toward Bravura Dam.

Continue to a local distillery to taste medronho and honey before crossing the farmlands of Picota. Mountains Circuit – departures from Carvoeiro, Portimão, Alvor: Head toward Monchique, a charming village located near Fóia, the highest point in the Algarve. Along the mountain route, learn about the local flora and fauna, including the cork oak (“sobreiro”), an important regional resource. Visit a traditional distillery to sample arbutus spirit and honey, then continue the journey toward Bravura Dam.
