On the day of tour the driver will come to pick you at your hotel in Moshi, pass at the office to meet your hiking team and then drive direct to the starting point (Lemosho Gate) ready to start your first day hiking tour.

    After a nourishing breakfast at Karanga Camp, the trek continues towards Barafu Camp, the final base before the summit push. The trail becomes steeper, and the landscape transforms into a stark, rocky environment with few signs of vegetation. Along the way, you will see stunning views of Kibo Peak and the southern glaciers, giving you a taste of what’s to come at the summit. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, you will take time to relax, hydrate, and have an early dinner. The camp is set on a rugged ridge, offering sweeping views of Mawenzi Peak and the vast plains below. Your guides will brief you on the upcoming summit attempt, ensuring you are well-prepared for the challenging ascent. After dinner, you will retreat to your tent for some much-needed rest, as the summit push begins just before midnight.

    Your summit push begins just after midnight, climbing steep switchbacks through the freezing night. The trek to Stella Point (5,739m) is the toughest part, but reaching the rim of the crater rewards you with a stunning sunrise over Africa. A final push brings you to Uhuru Peak (5,895m)—the roof of Africa! After celebrating your achievement, you’ll descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp (3,090m). The descent is long but easier, and you will enjoy your last night on the mountain with a well-earned meal and deep sleep.
