Pickup details:

On the day of tour the driver will come to pick you at your hotel in Moshi, pass at the office to meet your hiking team and then drive direct to the starting point (Lemosho Gate) ready to start your first day hiking tour.

    Lemosho Gate (2,100m) – Big Tree Camp (2,780m)

    Your adventure begins with a drive from Moshi to the Lemoshoi Gate, where you will register with the Kilimanjaro National Park. After a safety briefing and equipment check, you will start your trek through the dense rainforest, home to colobus monkeys, elephants, and various bird species. The hike takes around 3-4 hours, leading to Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa Camp) for an overnight stay.

    Big Tree Camp (2,780m) – Shira 1 Camp (3,500m)

    The second day’s trek takes you from the rainforest into the moorland zone, where the scenery opens up with stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. You’ll trek for 5-6 hours before arriving at Shira 1 Camp, located on the western edge of the Shira Plateau.
