We meet at the the square at the Golden Gate (Złota Brama). Look for a guide with a yellow umbrella.
We end the walk at the Monument to the Defenders of the Polish Post, just some 15 minutes from the beginning of the walk.
Our expert guide will meet & gree you here and give you the basics of the history of the city.
You will walk down the Long Street, part of the Royal Route. Here you will learn the stories of the famous inhabitants of the city.
You will marvel at the biggest brick church in the world.
At the main place of medieval Gdańsk, Długi Targ (or Long Market), you will see the decorative merchants' Arthus' House, the fountain of Neptune and an exceptional Fahrenheit scale.
The Crane, or Żuraw, is the largest of its kind medieval crane, a testament to the cities history and wealth.
At the Monument to the Defenders of The Polish Post Office you will learn about the very first strikes of Germany against Poland, resulting in the outbreak of World War 2, on 1st September 1939.
